EEE! BY GUM! – This Yorkshire phrase, can be used in a variety of ways but is mainly used to express awe at something. Similar to ‘OH MY GOD! If you love the phrase or no someone who uses it way to much! Then this could be guden for ya! ALL RITE DER LAAAAAASSSS! this oringinaly scouse phrase is used around a large proportion of the north west of the uk. For thos of you who are unfamiliar with it, it is simply a greeting which could be translated as, Hello how are you? Ey up me duckies! Do you love and use this phrase way too much? Then maybe these are the t-shirts for you! As always we really want your phrases guys. So that our knowledge of regional dialects in the uk can grow we would love it if you left a comment informing us of a phrase we have missed out or that you think should be up here!

For those that don’t know this phrase, it originates from the Midlands, particularly areas in and around Derby and Nottingham, commonly used in Ilkeston and West Hallam regions.The phrase is simply a greeting, with Duck or duckie roughly translating as mate or friend. Another version of greeting in this way is ‘Alright Duckie!?’

Welcome to the North Wales section of dialect tees. We want as many welsh phrases as possible so that we can get them on our t-shirts for you to wear… literally any ideas just leave a comment or send an email. Below are some phrases we have lready recieved from the area: IAWN CONT – this phrase can be used in a variety of ways but is mainly a greeting used in north west wales. CYMRU AM BYTH – is a welsh saying meaning ‘wales foverever!’, ALL RITE DER LAA – is more of a scouse saying that has been introduced to the east North Wales in areas such as wrexham and rhyl. All rite my luvvvers! Ok we are well aware that this phrase is not the only saying from cornwall, we know there is a whole wealth of language from the everyday cornsih slang to the revived cornish language – Kernow (very cool and exciting stuff). We will be putting up more cornsih t-shirts in the very near future! However as we ourselves are not from Cornwall we would love it if you could submit any phrases and slogans that you think would be good for our tees.
